Leadership Development

Great leadership is not a process, a set of tactics, or even a strategic plan. It is a way of life and it comes in several forms.

Personal leadership - The capacity for leadership exists in everyone, but most people never take the time to develop it. Leadership is determination, courage, confidence and the ability to get results. Positive leadership assumes that goals can be accomplished, the job can be done, the problem can be solved and the obstacles will be overcome.

Team leadership - In today’s business, the supervisor or team leader is the main link between the organization’s goals and the people who are responsible for the daily activity that make those goals a reality. Because of their necessary and integral role, good supervisors and team leaders are key to the success of any organization. The many daily decisions required within this role affect profits, productivity, service levels, as well as attitudes and morale. Most of today’s supervisors and team leaders get little or no training in the required skills, yet almost all of today’s supervisory force consists of those men and women who were once the “super workers” of their organizations before being promoted to supervisor. Today more than ever before, organizations are seeking better ways to accurately assess, develop, and retain top people. It’s also critical to ensure that you have the right people in the right positions doing the right things for the right reasons.

Middle management leadership - The Management Mastery process is designed to help managers develop the skills needed to do more with less and be able to aggressively accomplish organizational and personal goals and objectives. As a result of this process, managers understand why and how they can be essential to achieving organizational goals. This process makes management not only possible, but eminently profitable.

Executive Leadership Mastery – This process offers a proven path to help you create an environment/culture in which people will be excited about operationalizing the established vision. It will provide you with the techniques for aligning your resources, and guidelines for effectively leading people to higher levels of performance.

Our Group coaching programs are available in several formats.

We can do the process on your site in several time frames. For example, we can present to a group at your location 2 to 3 hour time frame spread out from 6 to 15 weeks. This is idea for participants who don’t want take a full block of consecutive days from their schedule. This also aids in the learning and development process by allowing participants to absorb material in bite size segments. This option can also be arranged at an off-site location if getting away from the office or business is needed.

For those who prefer a “retreat” format we can offer a total immersion in leadership development. This format requires full focus for 2-5 long days, including evening assignments.

There are other formats for every need. Ask us.

“When I started my company I thought that the world would beat a path to my door because of my technical skills.  I figured that once I got in front of someone it would be apparent that I’m a genius and they would hire me right away.  It didn’t work out that way and it didn’t take long to realize that I would need to learn to be a sales person.  I engaged Grant and we worked together for several months and I have to say that he really helped.  Before I worked with Grant I read books and attended seminars that all focused on specific sales techniques – what to do or say during a sales call and during the sales process.  All of them treat the sales call as the end all and be all – get the sale, hand it off, and get out.  This doesn’t help me since once I get a client I need to build the relationship and work with that person on a day-to-day basis.  With Grant’s approach I understand the sales process much better, I’m more goals oriented, I know how to measure my sales activity, and – most importantly – I feel more comfortable in my role as a sales person.  My approach to sales is now more aligned with the way I want to run my business and with my values as a person.

The study materials I received from Grant are very good. They require reading, listening, and writing so the information is reinforced.  Grant does not rely on the study materials, however.  Our weekly meetings were open to whatever I wished to discuss and I feel that Grant’s advice was very insightful.

Even though we haven’t worked together in a few months I still use the study materials and Grant still reaches out to me.” June 30, 2011
